Spiking is a collection of photographs by Briggs Ogloff, shot between August 15 – September 20, 2020, on the unceded territory of the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh peoples. Briggs’ signature style is warm and familiar, yet feverishly distinct. The photos in Spiking are set in dreamlike landscapes and carry an emotionally charged undertone as he explores the significance of being ‘present in the moment’ through thirty individual scenes compiled in hardcover form.
"If I could stay right here forever, I would. The big sky, where it all looks like a painting. When the sun starts to fall behind the horizon and everything turns dusty blue. I’m standing on this little mountain of sand in the middle of nowhere and everything. Right here, everything feels perfect."
